In the letter (8-23), the question was asked, “As an U.S. Army veteran, do I hate America?” This is the same veteran who contemptuously criticizes our Commander in Chief out of one side of his mouth, while he recounts his military service out of the other side of his mouth, as if his military service bolsters his criticisms of Trump.

If a veteran wants to criticize our president then he should do so as a civilian and leave his military service out of it. His arguments will stand or fall on their own merits, independent of his military service. Now, whether a veteran can hate America, recall Lee Harvey Oswald who was a veteran and a Marxist. No doubt, if Oswald was alive today, he’d be singing the praises of Black Lives Matter.
