We have come a long way since my arrival to your Nacogdoches County United Way in January 2009. The why of this is not due to my contributions, but rather to the steadfast work of our very dedicated and passionate United Way volunteers and leadership.

Our campaigns have both evolved and improved over the years due greatly to the leadership of two former campaign chairs, Dustin Beavers and Robert Rasberry. Under their stewardship, many new partner businesses and employees have joined us in our mission to help folks in need by putting them back to work in healthier situations, getting them financially stable, and taking advantage of educational opportunities in our community. So, in a word for our work, we are in the business of “economic development”- providing people with opportunities to work for our many fine companies both large and small.
