It is often said what goes around comes around.

During the 1992 presidential campaign, Bill Clinton repeatedly called George Bush’s policy toward the Haitian refugees “immoral.” He promised that if elected, he would immediately enact a more human approach and open American’s doors to the Haitian immigrants. However when faced with a potentially disastrous migration of Haitians to South Florida, President-elect Bill Clinton backed away from a campaign promise and said the United States would continue “for the time being” to forcibly return Haitian boat people to their homeland.
