Nacogdoches police publicly identified a suspect wanted in a Monday afternoon shooting that hospitalized a 26-year-old, and Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for his capture.
Aziz Rahqyihb Pleasant is wanted on a charge of of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said Wednesday.
Pleasant is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 130 lbs. He has previously listed an address in Lufkin and is a Black male between 19 and 21, according to jail records.
Pleasant is accused of shooting Tyrome Roberts in the face during an altercation in the 2700 block of E.J. Campbell Blvd. around 4:50 p.m. Monday and was reportedly seen fleeing the apartment complex on foot.
Roberts was hospitalized at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital and was in stable condition Tuesday afternoon, hospital spokesperson Kim Barton said.
