1 John 5:14 tells us “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” Last week we went to God and we shared with you certain needs. He answered some of our prayers through you.

We asked for sets of plastic storage drawers to be used for clients, because they are affordable, convenient, and portable. We received several of those our clients can use to store their clothes, towels, and other items. It would be helpful to have some more of those on hand if you feel led do help meet this need. It is a blessing to share these with our clients asking for a ‘dresser’; dressers are harder to come by, and sometimes difficult for clients to take with them if they relocate.

I specifically prayed for someone to lead as our Warehouse Coordinator, and mentioned that perhaps a smaller church might have a part-time youth minister who would like to work for Love INC. I interviewed four people. God sent exactly that person to us. Turns out a local smaller church has a part time youth minister who was looking for another job. Our Lord continues to demonstrate His timing is perfect. I will always be amazed by God, but never really surprised. “If God is for Us, who can be against us” Romans 8:31. This broken world can be against us, however, our unchanging Savior is whom I will trust and follow. Waiting on His timing is a challenge every day. The outcome never disappoints. I am thankful to introduce, Dustin Leutwyler as our newest Love INC team member. He has already began his duties as Warehouse Coordinator.

We also received a donation of boxes of Gideon Bibles. Our Home Team members take bibles out with them on their visits and offer them to our clients during the visit. Many of our families welcome the news of the gospel and are grateful for a new bible. In fact, one of our home team members is starting a new bible study with two clients we recently met. Please be in prayer for these ladies as they start this journey to bring themselves closer to God.

Now we share new prayer requests from this week’s Home Team visits and other needs. First, we have several electric scooters for disabled clients and we need funding to purchase replacement batteries. If you can help with this need, please write SOS Batteries on the memo line of your check.

Next, we met a single woman, living on fixed income, who owns her home. She has an existing wheelchair ramp that is in need of some refurbishing. To add to the ramp problem, the car port cover is also falling down and is in need of repair. We have funding for the ramp project, however, we need a team that might go and replace those boards in the wheelchair ramp for her. This will be a fairly easy project. The carport and back porch are rotting and will require more extensive work to tear down and replace. We are looking for a team to help with one or more of her repair needs. At this point, we are not sure about the cost of the repairs for the car port.

We met another lady who has some very minor, but valid and needed repairs. A window needs some weatherization or caulking, a door that has fallen down needs to be rehung, and a faucet is dripping. These repairs are more than she can do, but we know there is someone who has the skills and the heart to answer this prayer for her.

Please check with your church pastor or staff and make sure they plan to attend our Annual Meeting Thursday. Everyone is welcome. It is a come and go reception, from 12 to 5, here at the Love INC office. We want as many churches as possible to stop by, meet our staff and volunteers, take a tour of our facility, and take some information about Love INC with them back to their church and congregation.

Other validated requests are for:

■ Plastic drawer storage units

■ Small dining tables

■ Full and Queen size frame, box springs, and mattresses

■ Silverware and Kitchen utensils
