Every week, we ask our readers to share some positive news with us. It’s your opportunity to thank someone for a kind deed. Send your Shout Out to news@dailysentinel.com.

This shout out is for Pastor Benton and the entire Antioch Baptist Church family for the wonderful annual Christmas dinner. This thank you is for everyone who attended and a special thanks for classmate Grady Lon Henderson.

Last week, as I entered the barber shop where I get my hair cut, a fine young man about 10 years old, ran and immediately opened the door wide to help me get inside, as I walk with a cane. He was probably 10 years old or so and I appreciate his kindness so much! Thinking of others is not often common today by young people and this young man was certainly special! His folks must be very proud of him and I know Santa Claus will surely keep him in mind this Christmas season!

Thank you seems so inadequate to show my appreciation to all those who stepped up and took over my responsibilities after I slipped on one of our outside frosty steps and fell. I also was very congested with bronchitis. A special shout out to Angie Nicholas for teaching my early morning Seminary class at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Thank you Rebecca Talbot for preparing breakfast for my class on Friday morning. Grateful to my husband, Robert for taking care of me.
