Former Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack basketball player Thomas Walkup has agreed to terms with the B.C. Zalgiris Kaunas professional basketball team in Lithuania and will join the squad for the 2018-19 season.

The 6-4, 193-lb. swingman from Pasadena, Texas, played for the Lumberjacks from 2012-2016, earning AP All-America Honorable Mention, while being named the Southland Conference Player of the Year his senior season. That year he led the Lumberjacks in scoring (18.1 ppg), rebounds (6.9 rpg) and assists. (4.5/game). He was part of the SFA squad that posted a perfect 18-0 Southland record and opened the NCAA Tournament with a 70-56 victory over No. 3-seed West Virginia, before falling to Notre Dame, 76-75.

During the 2017-18 season the 25-year old Walkup played for Riesen Ludwigsburg in Germany, hitting 51.5% of his field goals and 36.7% of his three-pointers to average 11.0 points per game, which was second-best on the ball club. He also pulled in 4.3 rebounds per game helping Ludwigsburg to a 28-11 record.
