After a hard-fought league chase in 2022, the Alto Yellowjackets claimed the District 22-2A championship with a 20-10 season mark and a 10-3 league record. The ’Jackets then had five players named to superlative awards to lead the All-District 22-2A selections released recently. Douglass had two superlative awards, while Cushing and Groveton had one each.
Ten Yellowjacket players were honored on the elite squad, with Douglass finishing a close second with nine players. Groveton had eight players named, with Cushing fourth with seven players honored.
