One common denominator for a major college baseball player or an athlete that eventually moves on to professional baseball is that they have much more than just a love for the game. They become immersed in the game, as a student of the sport and it becomes more than just a passion.

That has been the case for Nacogdoches Dragon seniors Kolton Koonce and Reid Boyett, as they both had a dream come true recently when they signed National Letters of Intent to play major college baseball. Koonce will move on to play for Texas Christian University, while Boyett will stay closer to home and play for Stephen F. Austin.
