For the third straight game the Nacogdoches Dragons hurt themselves with penalties, turnovers and giving their opponent excellent field position, and Tyler High took full advantage of it Friday night at Dragon Stadium, as the Lions capitalized on four turnovers and 80 yards in Nac penalties for a 40-12 win to keep NHS winless on the season heading into a bye week.

The three-hour contest was full of wild plays and a number of loose balls, as Nacogdoches (0-3) fumbled eight times on the night, losing four, while committing nine penalties. Flags were also thrown against the Lions, as they committed 12 penalties for 129 yards.
