It was the Cards that forced the extra game in the double-elimination tournament and then rallied with a pair of runs driven in by Trey Pennywell in the sixth to clinch the 9-8 victory on Thursday night at the Nacogdoches City Baseball Complex.

Pennywell led the Cardinals at the dish with four RBIs in the contest. He finished 2-for-3 at the plate. He pushed in runs with a triple in the second frame and a single in the sixth to clinch the title.
