CUSHING — Needing a victory to continue to hold it's one-game lead over Woden in the District 22-2A girls race, the No. 4-ranked Douglass Lady Indians received a strong defensive effort, which translated into a some easy buckets on the offensive end and a 62-22 victory over the Cushing Galkats here in Denny-Sides Coliseum Friday night.

The Lady Indians, who improved to 22-3 on the season and 6-0 in league play heading into Tuesday night's showdown in Woden, created 33 Cushing turnovers and connected on 50% (19-of-38) of their two-point field goal attempts.
