CENTRAL HEIGHTS — Twenty-seven of some of the best 16U boys basketball players from across East Texas have teamed up and will battle against some of the nation’s best this week when the two East Texas Dream Teams compete in the Big Foot Hoops Las Vegas Classic basketball tournament in Nevada.

The local AAU organization, owned by Demond Jackson and Rae Pettigrew of Nacogdoches, has worked together for six years with this organization and have put these two 16U squads on the court this season, in addition to a 17U boys squad, a 14U girls team and a 13U boys squad.
